Do you need to update all of the PCs on your network with the latest drivers or software after hours without having to personally go back to your business to turn on the targeted PCs or initiate the processes? It is now possible to cause certain PC configurations to `Wake Up` (power on) when they receive a special packet.

This "Magic packet" is generated using the IP, Subnet and MAC address of the remote computer. By sending this special packet to a dormant computer a remote computer can be caused to "Wake Up" (Boot itself up). This feature can be disabled in the BIOS or in the Network card settings. The only drawback to this is that one has to know the remote computer`s IP, subnet and MAC address. Nightshift`s NSNetworkTools will provide you with all the tools in detecting the MAC and the IP address.

After the boot process completed you can detect and identify open ports, trace the route to the machine, etc. You will also be able to manipulate a remote machine`s print queue, services, processes, shares, event log, etc.

Remove a print job from the print queue, pause or change the job priority. See the full detail on who scheduled the print job and from where. See the size and the number of pages to print and pages already printed.

Stop, pause, spawn new or change the priority and startup settings of any remote machine`s service. See the detail on each of the services. Do the same with processes. See exactly what programs are executed on the remote machine or if you need to have a program executed then just spawn an instance.

View and completely manage the remote machine`s event log. See all entries and even backup the event log or just clean it up. See an inventory of all hardware and even get information on the installed service packs for the operating system.
